Term 1 Reflection
Term 1 Math Reflection
During Term 1 I learned a lot of new things. One of those things were Ratio, Rate and Proportion. One thing i remembered from that unit was doing a sesame street video. In that Sesame Street video we had to explain what Ratio, Rate and Proportional Reasoning. There are two term ratios and that is when you compare two quantities measured in the same unit. A three term ratio is the same thing as two term ratio but you compare three quantities measured in the same unit. Rates are Compare two quantities measured in different units. Proportion is a relationship that says two rates are equal. We also learned about square roots and square numbers. We also learned about Pythagorean Theory. It involves right triangles and formulas. In the first term, I have to admit that I didn’t do all of my work. I only did about 5 to 10 comments and in did three blogs. I also didn’t do some of my pages in my homework book. In term 2, I will try not to rush my work and try to pay attention more in class. I will also try to write more comments in the blog.

Term 2 Math Reflection In term 2 I think that I did well on Surface Area and also Volume. I think that i did well on those units because On the tests and quizzes I did good on them. I also think I did well on them Because they were easy to understand.I think that I struggled on Percents. I struggled in Percents because I didn’t understand this unit well. Even though I didn’t understand percents, i think that i did well on the tests and quizzes.I think that I will do better in the next term I will listen more in class so i could get better marks. I would also try to participate in more class discussion.In the second term I learned how to convert percents into decimals and fractions, i also learned how to find taxes by using a ratio table and finding the GST and PST of the price. I also learned how to find the area of a rectangular prism and other 3D shapes like a cylinder and triangular prism. When we find surface area of a shape we have to use formulas. I learned how to find volumes of the same 3D shapes by using formulas. The difference between Surface area and Volume is that surface area is the amount of units that are outside of an object and volume is the amount of units inside of an object.

The reason I took your pocketbook was because I was being selfish and I was to lazy to earn $10 on my own, so I tried to snatch your pocketbook. Thank you for all of the things you told me that day, also for feeding me 10 cent cake, lima beans and ham. I would also like to thank you for not turning me into the police. When you told me “I have done thing, too, which I would not tell you son”, it made me realize that no one is perfect and I’m not the only one that did something bad. I would also want to thank you for giving me the $10 for the blue suede shoes. Once again, I am so sorry for trying to steal your pocketbook. In our 2 minutes to make a difference project my topic is underage smoking. I had a couple of big questions for my topic and they are What is the difference between children who smoke and children who don't smoke?, How do we prevent more children from smoking?, How would I fell if I started to smoke, and What actions are we going to do to stop children from smoking? Some keypoints that we have researched is that there is a kid in Indonesia and he smokes 40 cigarettes in a day and each cigarette you smoke you lode 11 minutes in your life.
